Peter opened the Wallin Agency in 1998 after a successful career in insurance management. Peter is also a published author and is involved in numerous community organizations.

A day for Peter includes focusing on sales, working with client claims, teaching the staff and learning, learning, learning. Peter most enjoys spending time with clients. “I like getting to know YOU on a personal basis,” Peter says. Peter has been married for more than 30 years to Marilyn and has three adult children, Michael, Peter Jr. and Angela. Peter also enjoys playing the piano (He started taking lessons at age 50!).
Wanda Kailbourne, Personal Lines Service Assistant
Personal Mantra: “It is what it is.”

Wanda joined Wallin Insurance in 2017 as the agency assistant, but she quickly moved up to her current role. She came to Wallin Insurance with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work which she finds helpful when assisting clients, particularly with Claims. Daily, Wanda fulfills Change Requests and Mortgagee Confirmations, responds to requests for Declaration Pages, and processes payments. “I most enjoy the tasks that allow for face-to-face interactions with our clients,” Wanda says. Wanda lives with her husband and two children in Erin. She enjoys camping, kayaking, and being involved in community events.

Marlene is our longest-term employee, having started with Wallin Insurance in 1998. She had previously been in the retail industry for 26 years. As a Personal Lines CSR, Marlene spends her days assisting current and new clients with their insurance needs, but she most enjoys getting to know her clients while she educates them on insurance. Marlene lives in Elmira with her husband Larry and their beagle Lucy. She loves spending as much time as possible with her family and extended family.

Linda joined Wallin Insurance in 2003. Before Wallin Insurance, Linda worked in retail, marketing and management, fulfilling roles from sales associate to District Manager. As a Personal Lines CSR, Linda spends her days assisting current and new clients with their insurance needs. “I enjoy speaking with my clients, helping them understand their liabilities and insurance needs,” Linda says. Linda is married to her husband Larry, has six grown children and seven “awesome” grandchildren who she loves “to the moon and back.” Linda and her husband enjoy traveling to any beach and camping with family and friends.

Jennifer, an Elmira native, came to Wallin Insurance in 2014, bringing with her more than ten years of insurance experience. As a Personal Lines CSR, Jennifer spends her days assisting current and new clients with their insurance needs. "I enjoy speaking with my clients and getting to know them on a personal level," Jennifer says. Jennifer continues to live in Elmira, surrounded by her family, and she enjoys spending time at the beach as much as possible.

Kim joined Wallin Insurance in 2016 with a solid portfolio of experience – in sales, customer service, marketing and education. As the Personal Lines New Business Writer, Kim provides potential clients with quotes and facilitates a seamless transition as they become clients. Kim also assists with Wallin Insurance marketing efforts and is, often, a public face of the organization. “I enjoy meeting people,” Kim says. “I am a social butterfly! I enjoy working with people. I enjoy taking the time to review their needs and help them understand insurance.” Kim and her husband, Darren, are lifelong residents of the Southern Tier and are proud to be raising their son, Ben, in the area. Kim volunteers and supports the Red Cross, Habitat for Humanity, and numerous animal rescue organizations. Kim enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and animals. She spends free time playing games, listening to music, watching movies and playing trivia.
Elaina Glosenger, Agency Assistant
Personal Mantra: "No snowflake ever falls in the wrong place." 

Elaina joined Wallin Insurance in 2016 as the file clerk, helping wherever she was needed. With a background in customer service, Elaina brought a “can do” attitude and the right temperament to be the friendly face of the agency. Thus, she was promoted to Agency Assistant in 2017, and she now greets clients and directs calls. Elaina is terrific at keeping the agency organized and keeping systems moving smoothly. Elaina lives in Erin with her sister and her family. Most of her free time is spent playing video games and “chillin” with her niece and nephew and their Great Dane, Alfie!

Annie came to Wallin Insurance in 2015, after 15 years at Travelers Insurance in Elmira and – previous to that -- 17 years in retail management. As a Commercial Lines Service Assistant, Annie assists clients with certificate requests, endorsement requests, billing issues, payments, and basic policy issues. “I really enjoy meeting and talking with our clients face-to-face and on the phone,” Annie says. “Some of them really make my day!” Annie lives in Elmira Heights with her husband Bob, and their German Shepherd Scout. She enjoys golfing and hanging out with family and friends by her pool.
Sarah Cornell, Commercial Lines Service Assistant, I
Personal Mantra: “You’re always one decision away from a totally different life.”

Sarah began with Wallin Insurance in 2016. Sarah came with extensive customer service experience, having worked in food service for more than 10 years and, most recently, as a customer service representative for an energy company for five years. As a Commercial Lines Service Assistant, Sarah completes quotes for clients. “I enjoy constantly learning about the world of insurance and working closely with coworkers to help our clients,” Sarah says. “It’s a great feeling to help build relationships with so many local businesses.” Sarah lives in the country with her husband, son, and dog. She enjoys spending time with family and friends and she loves taking a vacation … as long as there is a beach!
Gina Gapa, Commercial Lines Customer Service Representative
Personal Mantra: “Life is what YOU make it.”

Gina is the Wallin Insurance Christmas Joy -- she was hired on Christmas Eve 2015. She came to the team with related experience; she had most recently worked for a disaster restoration company where she worked with insurance adjusters and insurance companies. As a Commercial Lines CSR, Gina works on quotes and policies for new and existing clients where she “most enjoys interacting with clients, developing lasting relationships.” Gina lives in Erin with her husband, two children, sister and dog Alfie. She enjoys family time and watching old movies.
Lisa Roan, Commercial Lines Producer
Professional Mantra: “Offering businesses the best protection with affordable rates.”

Lisa joined Wallin Insurance in 2017. Lisa has an extensive background in sales, marketing and management; she has worked in the retail, education, media and insurance fields. In her role as a Commercial Lines Producer, Lisa spends her day meeting with potential business clients and offering them competitive insurance packages. “I enjoy working with the business owners to help ensure they have the best insurance coverage at the best price,” Lisa says. Lisa lives in Pennsylvania with her husband, two sons and her dog, Shaw. Lisa enjoys cooking, traveling, hiking and CrossFit.
Vicki Warner, Operations Manager
Personal catchphrase: “Boom!”

Vicki joined Wallin Insurance in 2013 as a Commercial Lines Service Assistant, however, she quickly became licensed and her drive to excel led her to her current role of the Operations Manager. Vicki came to the agency with extensive customer service experience and a knowledge of running a business, having worked in the life insurance field for seven years and, prior to that, ran the day-to-day operations at an automotive repair shop for almost a decade. Vicki’s main focus is on agency operations, growth and client satisfaction. “I enjoy the diversity of the work I have from one day to the next,” Vicki says. “I am never bored and constantly learning!” Vicki absolutely loves living in the country with her husband, Chip and her two boys, Thomas and Seth. “My family is my world.”
