"Insure Your Peace of Mind" - Book by Peter Wallin

I've been in the insurance business since 1987. I've worked with thousands of individuals, families and business owners to better understand their insurance - from pricing to claims service. Many think that it's very complicated and at times I must admit they are right. For years I've seen the industry complicate things by using confusing language and definitions, and then send policies to clients who simply cannot understand the jargon, much less the coverage.

My book - "Insure your Peace of Mind" is designed for YOU, to help you better understand the important terms so you can make informed decisions about your particular program. I give sound advice and recommendations - which many agents in the industry do not do - and I back it up in writing .

Here's my book by chapter:

Chapter 1: Auto Insurance - Understanding mandatory and optional coverages so you can make a proper decision, more than just cheap
     cheap insurance.

Chapter 2: Home Insurance - Learning the difference between Replacement Cost and Actual Cash Value so you know what happens to your
home if it is destroyed by fire or other major peril.

Chapter 3: Renter's Insurance - As a tenant, you need to protect your things as well as liability if you are sued.

Chapter 4: Motorcycle, RV and Boat Insurance - Take care of your toys!

Chapter 5: Flood Insurance - We've seen major disaster in the Unites States in recent decades. Be sure you know what is covered and what
     is not
Chapter 6: Landlord Insurance - As an investor in rental property you want to cover yourself for both the building and liability

Chapter 7: Umbrella Insurance - This is a layer of protection above your underlying limits to give you maximum liability protection om the
event of a lawsuit against you.

Chapter 8: Life Insurance - If you die this coverage provides for your beneficiaries. Here I discuss term vs. permanent insurance.

Chapter 9: Disability Insurance - If you live but become disabled you may need to protect your income.

Chapter 10: Long-Term Care Insurance - If you need assistance with daily living or need to move into an assisted care facility.

Chapter 11: Choosing the Right Insurance Agent - Understanding the best way to buy your insurance and from whom.

Chapter 12: Top 10 Frequently Asked Questions - Tips and money-saving ideas from a real independent insurance agent

Auto insurance companies are facing unprecedented rate increases due to inflation and the increasing cost of repairs. One of the most simple ways to assure your auto insurance rate is providing the best value is to take a defensive driving course - which is available to you online ! For residents of New York, the Improv Traffic School is currently offering their top-rated, fully-online defensive driving course for under $30, making it easier and more affordable than ever to both become a better driver, and save on auto insurance premiums. Some benefits of taking the course include: A guaranteed reduction of up to 10% on insurance rates - The certificate is recognized by all New York State auto insurance companies. Reduction in points on your license - For people with points attached to their driving record, the Defensive Driving Course can help eliminate those marks on your driving history. A fully online learning environment - The course can be completed from the comfort of your own home, with an instant awarding of your certificate upon completion. No final exam - Anxious test-takers, worry not. The Improv School’s course is content-oriented, making the focus more about taking in information than being able to reiterate the contents of the class. The course is designed to benefit you. If your defensive driving certificate is near its expiration date, now is the perfect time to renew without going out of your way. For folks who have previously completed a Defensive Driving Course, the Improv School also offers a 3 Year Renewal Course in order for you to retain your discount. If an online course does not sound like the right choice for you, there is a classroom-style Defensive Driving Course for your consideration. The classroom-based course offers all of the same benefits as the online equivalent, including the reduction of up to 10% on your insurance rates. Whether you’ve been seeking a way to lower your premiums, or simply desire to improve your driving habits, learning more about defensive driving strategies is a simple and efficient way to start.
